Delta Vacations is one of the brands testing a new pilot that places ads inside ChatGPT through Amazon DSP, Amazon's demand-side advertising platform. The integration, built through a partnership between Amazon Ads and OpenAI, is currently limited to select US advertisers. Chris Conetta, Director of Omnichannel Supply at Amazon DSP, said conversational advertising represents a growing engagement opportunity and that the deal lets advertisers extend campaigns into conversational platforms. Katrin Koenig, President of Delta Vacations, said the pilot uses consumer insights to determine when and how its offerings appear in ChatGPT ad experiences, giving travelers additional ways to discover and engage with vacation options.

Campaigns already planned through Amazon DSP can now extend into ChatGPT without a separate buying process, using the same browsing, shopping and streaming signals Amazon applies across its other channels. The move adds a fast-growing surface to the mix at a moment when OpenAI says ChatGPT Ads reached a $1 billion annualized revenue run rate in under 200 days, with tens of thousands of advertisers already buying on the platform, and direct purchasing through Ads Manager now open across India, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Budgets that already sit inside Amazon DSP gain a new, measurable conversational channel without a new procurement step.
