Truthset accuracy grades reach FreeWheel's CTV identity matching for Comcast inventory

August 26, 2026 is the date Truthset picked to connect its accuracy program to FreeWheel: Data Rated Audiences, the company's independently scored consumer records, now match against the FreeWheel Identity Network before targeting Comcast's premium video inventory. Grades run from AAA down to B, reflecting confidence in a given demographic attribute, and attach during identity resolution, ahead of the point where a segment gets purchased. Truthset argues that data loses roughly half its accuracy at each hop between onboarding and activation, so grading earlier cuts the distance between validation and use. Activation runs through FreeWheel Buyer Cloud, the bidding infrastructure built from the former Beeswax platform, and Curation Hub, the deal-packaging tool. FreeWheel DSP is left out of the initial scope. Michelle Eule, FreeWheel's Executive Director of Data and Measurement, said the integration gives 'advertisers and publishers greater accuracy and higher quality audience data across their campaigns.'
Campaigns booked against FreeWheel's premium CTV inventory now carry a grade on each segment, but the release does not say whether Buyer Cloud clients can filter, weight or exclude by tier, so the effect on actual bidding stays undefined. No match rate, accuracy percentage, launch advertiser or pricing structure accompanies the announcement, and broader rollout across FreeWheel's audience marketplace carries no date. Truthset's own research, including a CIMM-commissioned study that found IP-to-postal address linkages accurate 13% of the time, supports the case for grading identity earlier in the chain. Truthset stands to gain commercially if buyers shift budget toward data validation, a conflict the company has acknowledged. FreeWheel DSP runs the turnkey buying workflow for advertisers without their own bidder. Buyer Cloud and Curation Hub clients get access to graded audiences at launch; DSP campaigns proceed without that signal for now.
