Google Rolls Out AI Dashboards and Ask Advisor Across Ads, Analytics

Josh Moser, Google's senior director of product management, detailed the rollout in a blog post published Monday, covering new AI dashboards for Google Ads with an Analytics version coming soon. The dashboards let advertisers build visual performance reports from raw data using natural-language prompts, with each report generating a real-time summary of the drivers behind the results. Google Analytics will add a home-page recap summarizing traffic changes and account updates since a user's last login, and Google Ads will add a matching AI-generated insights summary. A new benchmarking tool in Analytics feeds into Ask Advisor, the in-product agent Google launched in May, letting advertisers compare their performance against competitors and pull recommendations from Google Ads, Analytics, Merchant Center and the Google Marketing Platform.
Campaign reporting that once required pulling data into spreadsheets can now run through a prompt, and the automated "why" summaries give planners a starting point for client conversations without a manual deep dive. Ask Advisor's reach across Ads, Analytics, Merchant Center and the Marketing Platform means benchmarking and campaign diagnosis happen inside Google's own ecosystem, which raises the value of checking those insights against independent measurement and attribution data when validating results across other channels.
