Comscore's Proximic launches transcript-level ad targeting across 5 podcast platforms

Spotify, SiriusXM, Triton Digital, Acast and Libsyn are now running Proximic by Comscore's transcript-level intelligence tools across their podcast inventory. The system reads full episode transcripts to capture what is actually discussed in each episode, then maps that content into IAB categories enriched with Predictive Audiences and brand safety and suitability classifications. Those signals are packaged into pre-bid segments that buyers can activate programmatically alongside display, video and CTV campaigns. Spotify's global head of automation sales, Anne Bouttier, told AdExchanger the added flexibility helps audio play a larger role in the media mix.
Campaigns already built around a specific audience or cultural theme can extend into podcasts using the same contextual and brand-safety rules applied to display, video and CTV. Comscore campaign measurement data puts the incremental, exclusive digital reach from audio inventory at about 10% on average, reach that agencies have often left on the table because broad show-level labels made individual episodes hard to evaluate. The same transcript-level signals open monetization for publishers whose catalogs run deeper than their best-known shows, and they build a standardized data layer that will matter as media buying moves toward agentic, automated decisioning.
