Adweek and Code and Theory to teach AI dashboard building at Brandweek Sept. 18

On Wednesday, September 18, Code and Theory's Karen Piper, head of strategy, and Pete Steiner, head of Creative Labs, will lead a beginner to intermediate masterclass on AI dashboard building at Brandweek, running from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the Spotlight Stage North. The class, presented with Adweek, will show attendees how to power a dashboard with the right datasets, shape the data and automate it so it keeps surfacing the most important information. Piper said many marketers still work from incomplete reports: "Marketers will get reports or produce reports that have half the information, and they don't have everything they need to make decisions on the next step, or to report on themes and trends effectively." Piper builds a dashboard for every pitch to bring case studies and data from across the holding company into a single view, and Steiner uses one to run his Creative Labs team, where members are each handling three or four projects at different stages of maturity.
Marketers who build their own dashboards can shape them around the metrics their teams actually track, instead of settling for whatever a vendor tool exposes by default. Piper's scoping method, an outline akin to a product requirement document that covers who will log in, how data flows in and how long the dashboard needs to stay current, gives campaign teams juggling multiple accounts a template for their own reporting builds. Registration for the September 18 session is capped, with entry granted on a first-come basis.
