Workweek launches newsletter ad network with $50 CPM and 81% subscriber ID

On Thursday, Workweek switched on a newsletter platform and matching ad network, opening ad-supported newsletters to any creator across its five vertical communities: healthcare, HR, financial services, marketing and ecommerce. CEO and co-founder Adam Ryan put the network's CPM at roughly $50. Advertisers buy placements by publication ID and audience data, and creators can block specific advertisers, including competitors, from running against their content. Ryan said every advertiser in the network is B2B, mostly software and service vendors; Workweek's HR community bars marketers entirely, while its fintech community caps how many can appear. Ad copy comes from Workweek's AI system, which writes four versions of each ad tailored to personas advertisers define in their brief: a decision maker, a product champion, an end user and a legal compliance exec.
Measurement centers on identity. Workweek says it can put a name and employer to 81% of newsletter subscribers, mostly matched against its own customer base, and it built an open-source AI model to strip out bot clicks that distort most B2B newsletter metrics. Campaigns running through the platform get a multi-touch attribution graph showing which employees at a target account saw an ad and when, tied to eventual purchases, giving buyers a way to justify B2B newsletter spend beyond opens and click-through rates.
