Triton Digital Launches Demos+ Demographic Targeting Inside Its Podcast Ad Platform

Demos+ Demographic Targeting, a new capability inside the Triton Ad Platform, lets advertisers select podcast shows and episodes that over-index with a defined audience profile spanning demographic, sociographic, media behavior and purchase-intent characteristics. The tool builds on Demos+, Triton's survey-based podcast audience measurement product, and applies that targeting in the same platform where buyers execute campaigns. Triton says the feature replaces station- or content-level tagging with data-selected audience segments, giving publishers and programmatic buyers a shared way to bundle and evaluate premium inventory. "Advertisers have been able to see who a show reaches for some time, but they haven't been able to act on it in the same place they buy," said John Rosso, President and CEO of Triton Digital.
Campaigns booked against podcast inventory gain a demographic layer without added tracking risk. Buyers plan against an audience profile instead of download counts alone, and the targeting works without cookies or device identifiers, which face growing restrictions across digital advertising. The rollout covers publishers with audiences in the United States, Australia and the Netherlands; publishers outside those markets can reach content-level targeting through Sounder, Triton's AI-powered audio intelligence platform. Nielsen already folds Triton's Podcast Metrics Demos+ data into its cross-media planning tool, a link built in April, and NBC Sports has adopted the same suite of Triton products, giving planners a way to compare podcast reach against other channels inside one planning environment.
