Sber and Yandex cut AI token prices up to 67.5% since October 2025

Nodul's research, cited by RBK, tracked token pricing at Sber and Yandex from October 2025 through August 2026. Over that period, GigaChat Lite's cost per 1,000 tokens dropped 67.5%, from 0.20 to 0.07 rubles, and GigaChat Pro fell 66.7%, from 1.50 to 0.50 rubles. YandexGPT Pro 5.1's price fell 33% across the same months, as both companies rolled out lower token tariffs.
Russian AI providers still charge more than international competitors even after these reductions. DeepSeek V4 Flash's junior version prices input tokens around 0.04 rubles and output tokens at 0.11 rubles per 1,000, while Qwen 3.8 Max charges 0.17 and 0.51 rubles respectively, undercutting Sber and Yandex by as much as tenfold according to RBK. Agencies running AI-assisted content or analysis tools face a persistent cost gap between domestic and foreign language models, a factor worth weighing when choosing which provider powers automated workflows.
