Netflix Signs Atresmedia, Disney+ Signs M6 as Europe's SVOD-Broadcaster Deals Hit 16

Spanish broadcaster Atresmedia and French broadcaster M6 both announced new streaming tie-ups last week: Atresmedia is bringing a selection of its daily programming onto Netflix, while M6 shows will appear on Disney+ before airing on M6's linear channels. VideoWeek's tracker now counts 16 SVOD-broadcaster content deals since TF1 and Netflix launched the model in summer 2025. Disney+ has been the most active partner, signing eight deals across markets, compared with four from Prime Video, which has not added a new partnership since October 2025, and three from Netflix. Ten of the 16 deals sit in France and Spain, where Atresmedia and RTVE have each linked up with both Netflix and Disney+.
Campaign planning around a broadcaster's audience now needs to account for a second platform: viewers who once found Atresmedia or M6 content only on domestic apps and linear TV can now watch episodes on Netflix or Disney+, sometimes days or weeks before or after the original broadcast slot. Deal terms differ by market and by broadcaster, covering full catalogues in some cases and curated selections, archive titles or early-access windows in others, so buyers need to check each partnership individually to know where an audience segment actually sits. As the list of tie-ups grows beyond its early concentration in France and Spain, agencies operating in the UK, Germany, Italy and the Nordics should expect similar arrangements to reach their markets.
