Eighty-five percent of Snap's users open Chat regularly, according to the company, and that hub is now getting Snap's Commerce Power Pack: a merger of Dynamic Product Ads and Sponsored Snaps that layers AI-powered product recommendations onto the format. The update lands ahead of the holiday shopping season and follows Snap's earlier rollout of automated chatbot ads in Chat and a new class of agentic recommendation models built to read user behavior and real-time intent. Snap says Sponsored Snaps have already outperformed other inventory since launching in early 2024, driving 22% more conversions, almost 20% lower cost per action, and twice the conversions per full-screen ad view.

Campaigns built for Snap's Chat surface now compete for attention inside the app's busiest interface, giving performance marketers a new bidding channel just as holiday budgets lock in. The beta value optimization tool lets teams bid directly to ROAS instead of proxy metrics, and the unified attribution model consolidates native and third-party data that used to sit in separate dashboards. Early open-beta results, a 23% lower third-party CPP and 37% higher third-party ROAS per Google Analytics, suggest teams that shift budget into Snap's web optimization feature before the holidays could see measurable efficiency gains. The omnichannel optimization tool remains in alpha testing, available only to a limited set of advertisers for now.
